Challenge

Peron Boats Australia designs and coordinates the purchase of the Ultra V Centre Console boats. They are built by Gospel Boats in China and delivered to the port the buyer nominates, so a buyer chooses a boat without walking into a showroom.

The brand, the brochure and the website had to do the work of that showroom: show the boats clearly, explain who builds them and how buying works, and make it easy to ask a question.

Strategy

The V of the Ultra V Series is the idea. A slanted V, cut by a thin line, sits at the heart of the logo, and the same V is repeated as a pale pattern on the letterhead.

The logo comes in three versions: a black wordmark, a wordmark in two blues, and a stacked version with the large V above the name. Navy and a light water blue carry the brand across print and screen, and the website follows the same palette.

The website follows the questions a buyer asks, in order: which boat, how is it built and by whom, how do I buy, who am I dealing with, and how do I ask.

Execution

  • Designed the Peron Boats Australia logo in three versions
  • Applied the identity to a letterhead with the V as a pale pattern and a contact footer
  • Prepared sticker artwork with the logo
  • Designed the E-Brochure for the Ultra V Centre Console Series: the story behind the boats, three models with layouts and drawings, and how buying works
  • Built the website: Home, the Ultra V Series, a page for each of the three models, How it works, About, Gallery and Contact
  • Model pages with key features, layout and drawings and a side by side comparison of the models
  • A Gallery grouped as On the water, Design and drawings, and Build and delivery
  • An enquiry form where a visitor names the model, the size and the port, next to a direct phone number and email
  • Merchandise concepts for the brand: cap, polo shirt, tumbler, cooler bag and fishing gear, shown as concept mockups
