Challenge
Bali is full of drivers and tour operators, and many of them look and sound alike: a photo of a car, a price, a WhatsApp number.
TourGuideBali needed a brand a traveller can recognise and trust before sending a single message, and a website that answers the practical questions quickly: which tour, which car, what is included, how do I book.
Strategy
The idea is connection. The brand sits between the traveller and a local guide who knows the island, and everything in the identity is drawn to say so.
The triangle is a direction marker. It points the way, and it is the one orange shape that sits above the letters.
The letters T, G and B are drawn as one flowing line, linked to each other, with the soft curves of Balinese script. It reads as a lettermark first and as a quiet nod to the island second.
Deep green, orange and warm cream keep the look calm and warm. Orange is kept for the triangle and for the WhatsApp booking buttons, so the eye always finds the next step.
The website follows the same logic: short pages, plain words, and a booking request that asks for what a driver really needs to plan the day.
The site speaks two languages, English and Bahasa Indonesia, so foreign and Indonesian travellers both read the same details in their own words.
Execution
- Designed the logo: the TGB lettermark with a direction triangle, and the Tour Guide Bali wordmark below it
- Set the colour and type system: deep green, orange and cream, one friendly sans serif
- Applied the identity to what a guide uses every day: itinerary, stationery, cards, merchandise, brochure and social media posts
- Planned the website around a traveller's questions, in this order: which tour, which car, what is the place like, how do I book
- Built the site in two languages, English and Bahasa Indonesia, with an EN | ID switch in the header and a mirrored page for each page
- Tours: ten day tours and trips, each with duration, highlights, a starting price and the booking button, plus a custom tour and an airport transfer
- Car rental: a quick guide by group size, then a fleet with seats, luggage, air-conditioning and a best-for note, and the plain rules for hours, overtime and early pick-ups
- Destinations: a short guide to each place with the best time to go, ticket price, opening hours and one practical tip, linked to the tour that goes there
- Booking: a request form for a tour, car rental or airport transfer, confirmed by email and WhatsApp with no payment upfront, plus a quick booking bar on the home page and a WhatsApp button on every page
- Gallery, Reviews and About pages: a photo gallery, a reviews page that publishes only genuine guest reviews and invites guests to send theirs, and the story of the local team with four simple promises
- Built on WordPress and handed over so the team can edit tours, cars and destinations themselves
- Laid out every page for the phone as well as the desktop
